Abstract

This research was intended to develop and validate the measurement instrument of consumer’s learning style in supermarket context. Abstract

The objectives of the study are (1) to analyze the household’s income structure of corn farmers based on variety types and land holdings and (2) to see the relation between income distribution and land holding and types of variety. Data analyzed in the study were collected from two main corn-producing districts during the planting seasons of 2007/2008. Results of the study show that share of income from farm business to the total households’ income is relatively high, i.e., shares of income from corn farming based on variety type varied from 44 to 87 percent in Sinar Tebudak and 49 to 87 percent in Pangmilang. Distribution of corn farming income for all types of variety is more balanced than that of total households’ income due to variation in non-farm income. The study also indicates that there is a positive correlation in all variety types between total households’ income and land holding. The use of superior variety could improve distribution of corn farming income and distribution of households’ income. Implications of the study are (1) enhancing non-farm employment in rural areas is essential to improve households’ income; (2) implementing land reform is one of the instruments to create a better distribution of land holding and income distribution in rural areas; and (3) improving supporting inputs and facilities like water irrigation, fertilizer, pesticide, credit and agricultural extension service for the corn farmers are essential in order to improve income distribution in the study area.Keywords: variety type, income distribution

Abstract

Abstract: Coffee is a represent best agribusiness commodity at Aceh Tengah and Bener Meriah. Have many strive to increase value added at organic coffee product in this area. Integration from agro production subsystem, processing and marketing of coffee with LTA77 project have sharing to improve coffee production, from extensification/intencification, and to increase product quality of organic coffee, formulated strategic promotion efforts of Gayo trade mark (Gayo Mountaint Coffee). This effort have improved coffee exporting value. This research aim to conduct study at agribusiness organic coffee system in this area. Result of research indicate that all of subsystem of agribusiness (agro production, processing subsystem and commercial agro marketing) of organic copy are prospective. Obtained advantage entirely bigger than level of interest at commercial bank.  Competition level at all of lini enough tighten, so that only by upgrading can be obtained by larger value added. Quality of organic coffee can be improved by developing local pre-eminent variety (arabika), conservation of intensive crop, culture technique, appropriate specific huller, quality of row material at hulling, way of drier and packaging. Abstract

Abstrak Tourism development in Indonesia generally dan East Java specially today is so fast along with the increment of number of foreign tourists visit to East Java Indonesia, which makes tourism foreign exchange total acceptance increase too. Tourism gives big foreign exchange that resulted from big expenses of tourists and it is one of several effective factors in development international retribution in East Java province therefore it has a chance to increase regional and society real income through tourism sector because tourism development in this region has big potency and bright prospect. Based on that thought, the purpose of this research is finding out total of foreign tourists, total of tourism object, total of hotel, total of travel bureau, length of stay in average of foreign tourists, average expenses of tourists and United States Dollar rate of exchange that influence tourism sector foreign exchange acceptance. This research is using data that obtained from first level tourism agency since 1993 until 2007. Data is analyzed by using multiple linear regression analysis with       F-test and t-test. Conclusion of this research is that simultaneously number of tourists (X1), number of tourism object (X2), number of hotel (X3), travelling bureau (X4), length of stay in average (X5), tourists expenses average (X6), and United States dollar rate of exchange (X7) have significant influence to foreign exchange acceptance in tourism sector (Y). This statement is proved with F-test. Meanwhile examination partially with t-test stated that free variables have significant influence to foreign exchange acceptance in tourism sector (Y), those are number of tourists (X1), number of hotel (X3), travelling bureau (X4), length of stay in average (X5), tourists expenses average (X6), and United States dollar rate of exchange (X7), meanwhile variable of number of tourism object has no significant influence the foreign exchange acceptance in tourism sector (Y).   Keywords : Tourism sector foreign exchange, number of foreign tourists, number of tourism object, number of hotel, number of traveling bureau, length of stay in average of foreign tourists, tourists expenses average and United States Dollar rate of exchange.

Abstract

Abstract: This research has a purpose to describe Financial Management Unit (UPK) of Gerdu Taskin prospect become BUMDes in the framework of endeavor optimalization of poverty reduction. And analyze what factors affecting BUMDes prospect in the framework of community empowerment and poverty reduction in Tumpang Subdistrict of Malang District. This research is expected to give important contribution, involving recommendation for decision maker is that government of Malang District, in which they strives to make Financial Management Unit (UPK) of Gerdu Taskin become BUMDes. In addition, it also will give problem description about developing BUMDes that will be faced by Malang District in future. This research location is in Tumpang Subdistrict of Malang district with a focus on three villages that obtain Gerdu Taskin intervention since 2004 and have possessed UPK. Three villages that become sample of this research are Pulungdowo Village, Pandanajeng Village and Kidal Village. A result of the research suggested that design developed in UPK Gerdu Taskin has potency to be developed to become BUMDes and has prospect for endeavor of empowering community and poverty reduction. Dividing advantage allocation for developing productive business capital, financing environment empowerment program and social program are indication that the role can be optimized in the framework of empowering community and poverty reduction. Abstract

ABSTRACT   This study is held in attempt to observe and present how far influence of leadership that assumed can meet high performance as well as control competition level and strong challenge namely Transformational and Transactional Leadership as well as work motivation through performance and employee satisfaction on implementation structure in organization that has globalization market, fast development and high competition. The result study shows that : (1) Transformational leadership  can provide significant influence and positive through work motivation, (2) while transformational relevant leadership with performance has non significant influence, (3) Transactional leadership through work motivation and individual can influence individual performance, (4) work motivation can influence work individually, as well as (5) employee performance relationship with satisfaction have significant influence and positive.   Keyword : transformational leadership, transactional leadership, work motivation, employee performance, and working satisfaction

Abstract

Abstract: The research is aimed to test Theory of Trying in different hierarchy of goals.  The effort in mastering English respresents higher level goal and student behavior in learning the next subject respresents lower level goal.  Elicitation study is conducted to find out salient belief, which is used to construct questionnaire.  The total number of respondent is 117, drawn from student at LBPP-LIA Yogyakarta and Faculty of Economics Unsoed. The findings show that the attitude toward success significantly influence the attitude toward trying at higher and lower level goal.  Whereas the attitude toward failure insignificantly influence the attitude towad trying both in lower level and higher level goal.  The results also indicate that student intention at LIA to finish their study more influence by external motivation, whereas the student intention in trying to learn the next subject more influence by self awareness. Abstract

Abstract: Polytechnic in National Education is one of professional Education. Professional Education is more stressing the Ability and the implementation of knowledge basic of concepts and conduction in field detail. Learning process in polytechnic is directed to outcome the graduated owned the certainly competence, such as the ability supported with the ability to analize at certainly level. By this competence it’s expected that polytechnic graduate are ready to work. To gain the outcome ready to work, training ang work motivation the polytechnic’s lecturer is needed and planned well by the institution. From the result of this , the influence of training to the lectuirer of work performance has the positive fact. This means the training conducted by the institution has the fact to the students in learning process and by that it’s expected the outcomes have the the quality and able to competence. Mean while the influence of motivation of lecture’s work performance has a negative fact. It’s due to the incentive, reward and the rate of lectures welfare is not optimal to treated by institution. For that the institution has to think the cases so that the motivation of lecture’s work performance is no loyer decreasing. Mean while the influence of training and the motivation of lecture’s work performance has a positive fact stimously. Keywords: training, work performance, lecture

Abstract

ABSTRACT One of the strategic steps to improve social welfare of the ummah based on Islamic syaria is by improving the role of wakaf. As a religious institution, wakaf should not only be viewed as a means of transcendental worship and social devotion, but also an economic potency for the advance of general welfare. There is recognition towards the existence of general law as well as a clear reference to the principles of the the wakaf law. Thus, the management and the expediency of the law need a concrete and clear regulation. Based on the philosophy of expediency of the wakaf land (the land donated for religious or community use on given for public purpose) in Indonesia, Act No, 41, 2004 and Government Regulation number 42, 2006 implementation of Act No. 41, 2004 about the Wakaf has accommodated three law systems: Islam, customary, and western (secular) at once. As a part of Islamic jurisprudence, the law of wakaf is considered as ijtihadiyah and is accommodative on many opinions developed by Islamic schools (madzhab). The disposition of Act 41 Year 2004 and government Regulation No. 42 Year 2006 had given place for someone or law institutions to carry out the organization, management, and empowerment of wakaf based on Islamic syariah along with law assurance in the unitary state Republic of  Indonesia.   Keywords: wakaf, social welfare, Islamic syariah

Abstract

Abstract: The impact of organizational commitment and job satisfaction toward academic staffs performance (study on Brawijaya University in Malang).The aim of this research is to know the effect of organizational commitment and job satisfaction toward the performance of academic staffs. The study was executed using samples of 100 respondents (lecturers on Brawijaya University at Lector, Head Lector and Professor). The finding  of such anaysis indicated that the product  of R2 was 0,162 or as amount 16,2%. Wich mean 16,2% of dependent variable could be explained by the independent variables . On the other hand, the remaining 83,8% was described by other variables that was not included in this study. The result of F test shows that all the independent variables (organizational commitment and job satisfaction) simultanuouslly affect academic staffs performance significantly. In addition, the result of t-test showed that the commitment variable  gave significant  effect on the academis staffs (lecturers) performance. While the job satisfaction variable give not significant effect on the academic staffs (lecturers) performance. Keyword: organizational commitment, job satisfaction,  performance
